Buddy

This boy is a once in a lifetime cat!!  Found outside with scratches behind his ears from the maddening feel of mites, he could not have been happier to be rescued.  All he wanted to do was talk to us and love us, and he was always reaching out from intake for human touch!!  He wants to be your very best friend, your rock when you need him, your beloved family member, and your source of endless entertainment.  He does not meow into the air, so don't worry about excessive noise--he is just enthusiastic and wants to communicate!  When he is held, the meows give way to purrs.  He is a cuddler and a lover!

Buddy is not a kitten.  We never know for sure, but we guess him to be about five--he still has years to go before he's truly a senior (according to our vet's guess), but he is seasoned.  One thing that has happened to Buddy in his years of life is that he acquired FIV.  This virus was long thought to be scary and deadly, but it really just means that his immune system is lower.  Cats with FIV can live just as long as cats without--they just need good food, wellness care, and an indoor home, the same as any Catsnap cat!  This disease is only passed among adult cats by deep bite wounds, and Buddy was likely picked on because of his sweet nature.  It is not spread through casual contact, and I cannot picture Buddy biting!

Please consider applying to meet Buddy.  This does not obligate you to adopt, but he is worth getting to know.  He knows he has strikes against him. . . he may look a little weathered, he may have some miles on him.  He may have a retrovirus in his system.  But what he has to offer is so much more than those things.  Buddy is filled with love, and he wants to be a companion and to brighten your life.  Your home could be heaven to a cat like Buddy.

Completing an online application does not obligate you to adopt! We care deeply about our cats and want the best match for all involved.
