Ash is a sweet and easygoing young man!  He was getting by on the kindness of strangers, and we neutered him, as we often do with roaming cats to reduce pet overpopulation.  We could see that Ash longed to have a true home with love, care, and no more worries.  He does great in our community room, and he wanders freely instead of hiding in the many nooks provided!  Once he runs a "vibe check" on you to ensure you're a safe person, he's very affectionate, and often a Velcro cat.  I can see him being a great TV watching buddy! 

Ash did contract FIV while he was on the street.  Friendly cats who test positive are often picked on because they are so sweet; this condition is only spread through deep bite wounds, and he must have received one at some point while trying to compete for resources.  FIV was long thought to be a scary diagnosis, but it really just means a lower immune system.  These cats can live just as long on average as cats without FIV, and they just need the same resources as any Catsnap cat would need. . . quality food, an indoor home, wellness care, and love!  Could you share these things with Ash in exchange for loyal companionship?

• Vaccination against Panleukopenia (Distemper), Rhinotracheitis, and Calicivirus  
• Vaccination against Rabies (if animal is over 4 months of age) 
• Testing for Feline Leukemia (FeLV) and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV)  
• Initial de-worming, flea, and ear mite treatment 
• Sterilization of the animal prior to adoption; no exceptions 
• Micro-chipping as mandated by state law
