Almond did her time as a street cat, and she is ready to be a pet now.  Fending for herself left a mark on her heart, but she has the rest of her life to fully settle down.  She loves catnip, and this and other treats would make her a fast friend to you!  She does well with other cats in our community room, but she could also be an excellent sole companion for you.

Almond does test as a faint positive for FIV.  This condition was perceived in the past to be very scary, but it honestly just means a lower immune system.  It does not spread through casual contact, only through deep bite wounds.  Pets in homes are unlikely to deeply bite each other, drawing blood, so FIV really does not spread in a stable household.  Cats like Almond can live the same average lifespan as any cat, and just need the same resources all Catsnap cats need—good food, wellness care, and an indoor home.  Could you provide this to Almond in exchange for a lifetime of love?

We do not have a walk-in facility; most of our cats are in foster homes.  For this reason, we require an approved application on file before we set up a meet and greet. 
 
Completing an online application does not obligate you to adopt! We care deeply about our cats and want the best match for all involved. 
 
All CATsNAP cats and kittens are: 
  • Vaccination against Panleukopenia (Distemper), Rhinotracheitis, and Calicivirus  
  • Vaccination against Rabies (if animal is over 4 months of age) 
  • Testing for Feline Leukemia (FeLV) and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV)  
  • Initial de-worming, flea, and ear mite treatment 
  • Sterilization of the animal prior to adoption; no exceptions 
  • Micro-chipping as mandated by state law
